Leslie McNabb was introduced to Pilates as a ballet dancer. After retiring from the Joffrey Ballet and restoring her own body back to health, she began her studies to help others. Leslie's original Pilates certification was through Balanced Body Education, and she remains grateful and heavily influenced by her studies with Biomechanists Katy Bowman, M.S. and Jules Mitchell, M.S., Anatomists Irene Dowd and Tom Myers, and Master Instructors Lesley Powell and Benjamin Deganhardt.
Leslie's clients usually fall into two categories. Many clients who come to Leslie are currently sedentary or complete movement novices and wish to start safely moving for better health. Other clients are advanced movers with current workout regimens that are no longer working for them due to pain or discomfort. These clients often just need a few tweaks in their movement patterns that once learned, will help get them back to the movement modality or group class they enjoy the most.
